Nasu Trappist Abbey is located near the base of Mount Nasu (1915 m.) which is part of Nikko National Park. This large area is a quiet one, rich in plants and forest land. The park is also the location of one of the Imperial Villas.
Tohoku Expressway | At Shirakawa take the IC Exit to Route 4 in the direction of Kuroiso and Utsunomiya. From the exit, it is about a 10-minute drive. The monastery is also accessible from the Nasu Highland SA Smart Exit in the direction of Shirakawa. It is about a 10-minute drive. |

Tohoku Shinkansen (fast train) | Get off at the Shin-Shirakawa station. After exiting the ticket gate, continue about 30 meters to the next corridor and turn right. Continue to the end and descend to the ground level. The monastery is about 15 minutes away by taxi. |
